12/14/2023 0 Comments Truss vs rafter![]() Rafters are the framing members that support the roof’s weight and help to divide the roof into smaller sections. Both of them have their own sets of features and can benefit you in different ways here, we take a look at the difference between rafters vs trusses. ![]() However, that is where the similarities end. They both act as a strong foundation upon which other components of the roofing systems are laid. Though you can see whether you use rafters or trusses, both play the same part, supporting your roof structure. There are many different types of roof trusses available, you can choose these according to the type and style of your home. They’re used in both residential and commercial buildings. Trusses are made up of two or more pieces of wood (usually 2x4s) connected by metal plates, which act as joints between the pieces. A unique quality that trusses possess is that they include an interlocking or webbing structure. Roof trusses are large, strong beams that support the weight of the roof and keep it from caving in. They are used in wood-frame construction, and they can be built from timber or steel. Roof trusses are another type of structural support for a roof. But over the years there has been another option in vogue. There was once a time when rafters were the only popular structural components used to build roofing systems in North America. Mostly they’re just referred to as “rafters” or “stick framing” due to the fact that these are created individually, in the form of sticks. They’re typically made of wood and they run from one side of the house to another, spanning the distance between the walls and the ridge of your roof. Roof rafters are the beams that support a roof. These are the traditional type of roof framing, being used in houses for decades. The roof rafters are a type of roof framing that involves 2×10 planks of wood being attached to the roof ridge line. To make a comparison between rafters vs trusses, we should first understand what is a roof rafter. This is why we decided to make this blog comparing, rafters vs trusses. Both are strong and stable ways to support the roof, but they each have their own advantages and disadvantages.īefore choosing a particular frame for your roof, it is important that you know a little bit more about both these types of roof components and then decides on an option. Many homeowners of Tennessee are unaware that there are two popular ways to frame a roofing system: When it comes to roofs in your house, there are two main choices: rafters or trusses. When the contractor starts building a roofing system for your home, then the first thing involved is laying the foundation, i.e., the structure of the roof. 12/14/2023 0 Comments Papyrus author(6) Although his description is detailed, there are a few aspects that do not align with what we have observed in remnants of ancient documents. The most complete description of the preparation that remains is from Pliny’s Natural History. There are very few remaining documentations from Egypt about the process. To this day, we are not entirely positive how the ancient Egyptians produced their papyrus sheets. Despite Egypt’s generally arid climate, these conditions were found in the marshes of the Nile Delta and in the “low-lying areas fringing the Nile Valley.” (2) The papyrus stalks were thin yet strong, topped by “feathery umbels ending in small brown fruit-bearing flowers.” (2) How Papyrus was Made The papyrus plant needed fresh water or water-saturated earth to grow. From these “germs of creation,” the Egyptians extracted the material on which they could create and record for millennia. The papyrus plant was a symbol of rebirth. Papyrus marshes were thus seen as fecund, fertile regions that contained the germs of creation. ![]() "In ancient Egyptian cosmology, the world was created when the first god stood on a mound that emerged from limitless and undifferentiated darkness and water, a mythical echo of the moment each year when the land begins to reappear from beneath the annual floodwaters. As Janice Kamrin of the Department of Egyption Art at the Metropolitan Museum of art once wrote, The papyrus plant was very important to the ancient Egyptians. (4) This material, papyrus, would remain in use for longer than any other material in the history of written documents. Around 3000 BC, the Egyptians would revolutionize the literary world by producing a smooth, flexible writing material that could accept and retain ink without a blur or smudge. (4) These clay fragments were also used by many in Egypt and across Europe. The first documented material, clay, was used heavily the river plains of of Mesopotamia, where many believe writing was born. Over the course of thousands of years, different materials and literary forms dominated in distinct regions and eras. The development of writing has been a been a long process based on experimentation and a cycle of new methods gradually replacing the old. This piece serves to highlight the role of papyrus in the development of writing, documentation, and literature as we now know it. Lastly, I will describe my experiences with papyrus in order to provide my insight into its quality as a writing surface. I will first explain the general history of the material, followed by a brief explanation of how we now believe rolls of papyrus were constructed. ![]() ![]() In the following post, I will discuss papyrus and its function in the history of writing and documentation. 12/14/2023 0 Comments Screenflow 5 tutorial![]() TechTool Pro 7 99.99 The latest version of the powerful system utility. On December 12, 2006, Corel completed its acquisitions of InterVideo and Ulead. On April 26, 2006, Corel completed its return to the public market with an initial public offering on NASDAQ, the same day finalizing the acquisition of WinZip, an archiving software title. Corel contended that WordPerfect was the only viable alternative to Microsoft Office, with sales 70 times more than Lotus' SmartSuite. ![]() In March 2005, Corel announced that the United States Justice Department purchased 50,000 licenses of WordPerfect (adding to the worldwide user base of 20 million) and that WordPerfect was adding 4 million new users per year thanks to bundling deals with Dell. shareholders alleged the management benefited from the buyout personally while the buyout price was too low. The company was voluntarily delisted from the NASDAQ and Toronto Stock Exchanges. In August 2003, Corel was bought out by the private equity firm Vector Capital for $1.05 a share (slightly more than the cash in the company). Corel acquired the graphics software company Micrografx in late 2001. However, these plans were scrapped, and only the Corel brand remained. A new board of directors was then appointed and Derek Burney Jr., announced that the product line would be split into several brands-DeepWhite, ProCreate, and Corel. In August 2000, Cowpland was accused of insider trading and left. As part of the deal, Corel acquired a minority interest in Hoffmann + Associates and received royalties. Art is a 10/10 btw, Art is consistent, really detailed, and the story has a lot of bad ass moments that make you want more. Other than that, realistically this story has barely any character development. Do I like it? fuck yeah I love it, but that's just because I wanna see Sung-Jinwoo further become stronger and see what he does in the future. Basically this story is just Sung-Jinwoo kicking ass but just as discreet as possible. He further gets cheat abilities via Job mission, defeats a Red gate boss, then when he clears a couple floors in the Demon Dungeon, he's already barely an S rank by chapter 57. After that he just does one dungeon and he's already on par with a B-Rank hunter (If you read solo levelling you know that B to A rank hunters are nothing compared to Sung Jinwoo but these guys are supposed to be the Main High ranking hunters of hunter guilds and he just became one in like, what, a month, maybe less?). Then, whoopty fucking do, he goes up 2 ranks and he didn't even get out of the hospital yet. When he gains those cheat powers he starts training because his cheat told him to. Quite a lot right? Correct, this story concept isn't original BUT it all depends on the execution on that concept. Take those words into account and apply those words to all the other manga, Manhua, and Manhwas that apply that concept. Sung-Jinwoo, A weak person, goes through a near death experience and is handed cheat powers. Usual Weak to Strong story that you can find basically everywhere. When they just see Sung-JinWoo pull something bad ass off they say "oops, 10/10, will read again". The review don't look at the Manhwa from a story stand point and how well developed characters are. These reviews are dumb as fuck and they don't contribute anything. Real Talk, I'm tired of seeing these "omg this manhwa is so good you should read it the story is so good and the mc is so overpowered and kicks everyones ass in a bad ass way" reviews. 12/14/2023 0 Comments Reddit learn to use photoshopPattern and texture are the best work that you simply will neutralize by uses of Photoshop however, that need very little creative thinking. 12/14/2023 0 Comments Npn transistor![]() Some of those layers have extra electrons added to them (a process called "doping"), and others have electrons removed (doped with "holes" - the absence of electrons). Transistors are built by stacking three different layers of semiconductor material together. Using the diode (or resistance) test function on a multimeter, you can measure across the BE and BC terminals to check for the presence of those "diodes".) Transistor Structure and Operation (This model is useful if you need to test a transistor. There's a whole lot of weird quantum physics level stuff controlling the interactions between the three terminals. Don't base your understanding of a transistor's operation on that model (and definitely don't try to replicate it on a breadboard, it won't work). The diode representation is a good place to start, but it's far from accurate. The diode connecting base to emitter is the important one here it matches the direction of the arrow on the schematic symbol, and shows you which way current is intended to flow through the transistor. It featured a bridge that crosses over a lake and the neighborhood corner store, likely the thinking spaces where Amine decided to go for what it is now a blossoming rap career. The stage setup resembled Woodlawn Park, a commonplace of Amine's Portland childhood where he went for inspiration and peace.
